Build your own Poetry website today

If Poetry is your thing then why not start your own website on the topic!

Introducing the World’s FASTEST and EASIEST Custom Website Builder

If you thought that building an Poetry website was difficult then think again!

Now you can create and build a complete custom Poetry website with point and click and drag and drop ease in a matter of Minutes with the NEW 90 second website builder software.

There has never been a better time to get that online Poetry idea up and running, and tell the world what you know.

The software requires NO HTML KNOWLEDGE to use. In fact, this is not even an HTML web editor, but an HTML generator. You don’t even have to know there is HTML involved. Just put images, text and other object on your page and your website is ready! You CAN however add any existing HTML to your page using the advanced page and object HTML tools.

Other traditional programs use a document (word processor) method for layout, where you can not pick up objects and drag them where you want them to go on the web page. With the new 90 second website software, you can drag and drop the objects anywhere you want. Giving you full control over the layout. It even let’s you put objects on top or below other objects!

Traditional HTML editors use Dynamic Page Layout , which means that the first object on the page will also determine the position of the second object. Resizing or moving the first object will affect the complete layout of the page. You can’t overlap objects when using Dynamic Page Layout.

The software generates a Fixed Page Layout. The objects on page have a fixed position which is not affected by other objects. This also allows you to overlap objects and give you much more control over the layout of the page.

But the software can do much more than this. Just add banners, navigation bars, ready-to-use javascripts and many other things that you can’t do using a regular website editor.

So building your Poetry website could not be easier, go on you know you can do it!

Once you have your website builder software, there is an online resource members area where you can watch step by step videos of how to set up each stage of your first website. We also provide you with some custom made editable templates so you can get started straight away, the members area is full of Internet Marketing advice including  e-books on how to get traffic to your new site and lots more!

Remember YOU are an expert on Poetry if you are reading this, in that you know more than most people on the subject “Poetry”

To Train Up a Child by the Pearls

Methods of training children often fall in two extreme camps. The first is permissiveness. The modern idea was made popular by Dr. Spock, who taught that discipline hindered the child’s evolution. The other extreme is to spank the child for everything. These are indeed extremes and neither is taught in the Bible.

Back in 1994 Michael and Debi Pearl wrote the book To Train Up a Child and this was the beginning of their No Greater Joy ministry. Since then well over half a million copies have been printed of this best seller. The premise of the book is to teach parents how to train up their children rather than discipline them up.

This is not a list of theoretical platitudes but sound advice, illustrated from real family situations and presented in a very readable format. The Pearls used this method in raising their own five children. They are now influencing their 14+ grandchildren with the same principles.

In the words of the Pearls themselves, one major goal of the books is, “no more raised voices, no contention, no bad attitudes, fewer spankings, a cheerful atmosphere in the home, and total obedience from your children”. Thousands have followed this counsel and have raised happy, obedient children. As a matter of fact, questions and testimonies from readers brought about the magazine No Greater Joy. These articles are compiled into three volumes called No Greater Joy volumes one through three.

You might ask, Where did the Pearls find a secret in raising children?. Again, from their own pen: “These truths are not new, deep insights from the professional world of research, but rather, the same principles the Amish use to train their stubborn mules, the same technique God uses to train His children. These principles are profoundly simple and extremely obvious. After examining them with us, you will say, ‘I knew that all along. Where have I been? It’s so obvious.’”

The emphasis of To Train Up a Child is in the title word train. Parents learn how to be proactive in training before disobedience occurs and that without losing fellowship with the child by either being a buddy or a bully.

Here is another quote from their introduction to the book: “The stress will be gone and your obedient children will praise you and bring joy and peace into your home. Thousands have testified to the amazing results of these profoundly simple techniques”

The chapter titles include, among others, Selective Submission, Parental Anger, Safety Training, Emotional Control, Potty Training, Bullies, Self-Indulgence, and The Rod. Recently the book has been updated and expanded, yet the price is still very reasonable.

Parents don’t have time for a hit and miss approach to child rearing. We want to use techniques that apply Biblical principles to real life situations, in short, things that are guaranteed to work. In a mere 122 pages, To Train Up a Child gives you that very thing. If you are a frustrated parent, or know someone who is and is open to fresh ideas, this six dollars might well be a life-changing investment.

Learn Spanish from an audio book

Learning a Language the Easy Way

We have all traveled abroad at some time in our life, or maybe we have had the opportunity to entertain someone from another country and no doubt, we have mused at the perennial question, why is it, that most people from foreign climes can speak at least a modest amount of English. Yet, people from English speaking countries still struggle, with their native language, let alone, learn a foreign language.

Many of my friends live at least part of the year in France and Spain. Learning to speak Spanish, for instance, has suddenly become very popular with the ex-pats who now live out their lives in central and coastal Spain. One of the things they have to consider, but often overlook is learning Spanish. Spain and France are high on the visitors map and are extremely popular with visitors from the UK and beyond. With the advent of the European Union, a lot more countries are being visited on a yearly basis, some of them were no more than names on a map two decades ago before the fall of Communism and the opening up of central and eastern Europe to eager travelers, investors, adventure seekers, people seeking new work opportunities and now the intrepid traveler’s that seeks to make a foreign country their home.

Despite all these changes, only a few people will take the time and trouble to learn the language of their host nation, what a shame because without the knowledge and vocabulary of the local language you are never fully able to enjoy the customs of the country, its history and its people. How could you go to the local market and haggle for your daily produce unless you are able to converse with the local traders on a one to one level and understand their way of doing business. It is all part of the richness and understanding that you can only get, when you are able to converse on an equal level.

You ask most people why they don’t take the trouble to learn the language of their host nation and most will tell you, I don’t have the time, or it is too complicated and I will never get the understanding of the new language; and yet learning a new language can be relatively painless, enjoyable and fun.

Consider this, more people in the world than ever before can speak English and yet English is considered one of the most difficult and time consuming languages to learn and fully understand. So why is it, people from abroad can take the time and trouble to learn our language and we do not reciprocate by at least attempting to learn theirs.

They say a long march starts with the first small step and the same is true about learning to speak another language. Of course you are not going to learn overnight, but with a little planning, a bit of practice and some good old fashioned determination anybody, yes, anybody is capable of mastering a new language. How long it takes is up to you, it can take as long or as little time as you desire, remember the more time and effort you put into it now will pay dividends later and will increase you enjoyment and satisfaction as you get to grips with the learning process.

A good way to start your learning; is to download an audio book and here, I would recommend Pimsleur, but of course there are many others to choose from. Listen and learn whenever you have a free moment or when you are relaxing, with the right audio equipment and the audio learning book downloaded you are ready to go. Start learning today and have fun.

Terry Deary and his Horrible Histories

Audio Books for Kids

There never seems to be an easy way to learn history and it is even harder to convince a young person that history can be interesting and fun to learn. So with that in mind BBC audio books have put together a collection of audio book titles that makes learning history fun and entertaining, but at the same time informative. This range of audio books for kids seems to tick all the boxes. Terry Deary, author of the Horrible Histories, series of audio books is a quite simply, innovative and has a brilliant way of making a dreary subject matter, more interesting, especially for kids. They have created a unique range of history audio books

How have they done this? Simply by taking a period in our history and putting a modern spin on the nastiest moments in those times and making those same moments in history, interesting!

Terry Deary and Martin Brown’s brilliantly recorded audio books about the nastiest periods in history have now – with the help of some astounding and outstanding actors and directed by Dirk Maggs – been transformed into a series of audio extravaganzas.

You can include in this range of audio book titles the Groovy Greeks, and the terrible Tudors and the Vile Victorians. It is not only Charles Dickens, who has been able to take a more sanguine look at the Victorians and the way they lived and worked.

Did you know that The Groovy Greeks claim to have inspired the doctors of today? But if your teacher wants you to become a doctor, thank your lucky stars you weren’t born in Ancient Greece, because they had to examine their patients’ earwax, vomit, tears, and rotting flesh – by tasting them!

You can rest assured, the audio recordings by Terry Deary and Martin Brown, are based on the bestselling books written by Terry Deary and illustrated by Martin Brown.

They will give hours of pleasure to kids and help them to learn and understand the key moments in history in a relaxed and informative manner.

So, if you want to hear the dreadful truth about Dad’s Army, or how sweet rationing drove a teacher to steal from his pupils, or what happened when an elephant got loose in the blackout, the full foul facts about life on the home front are laid out before your ears. You can hear the full story of the Second World War as told by Terry Deary.

Broken Home by Thomas Peterson

She sits on the porch,
and looks up at the stars;
flipping up her collar,
hiding the scars.

As a young girl,
while sitting in school,
she often wondered
how life could be so cruel.

The memories of the past,
make her feel sad.
Remembering how
they beat her so bad.

Her parents were strict,
she was given no slack,
their method of punishment
left scars on her back.

Their violence had left her,
with no will to fight.
No matter how hard she tried,
she could never do anything right.

So many times,
she prayed to God up above,
to please let her parents,
show her one taste of love.

Their love for her,
she felt it had died,
they’d beat her some more,
if she sat and cried.

Through the process of time,
months turned to years.
It had been quite some time,
since she had cried any tears.

When she had time alone,
she so often cried;
no longer able
to bottle it all up inside.

The physical abuse
had left her ripped and torn,
and wondering why
she had ever been born.

A mother and daughter
should have some connection.
A mother’s first thought,
should be about protection.

Everyday as her dad,
would walk out the door,
she came to realize
that she loved him no more.

That child to them
that was such an insult,
finally grew up
an emotionally scarred adult.

One day as her dad
walked in the door,
that young girl decided,
she would take it no more.

She valiantly fought
the urge to run.
Little did he know,
she had taken his gun.

Inside her mind,
her head was aching.
Her palms were sweaty,
her hands were shaking.

He stood in the kitchen
where a fat steak was cooking,
she put the gun to his head,
when he wasn’t looking.

She didn’t feel afraid,
she thought he was bigger;
swallowing hard,
she pulled the trigger.

Never again,
would he see the sun.
With blood on her hands,
she knew it was done.

The gun went off,
like a gigantic bomb.
As she closed her eyes,
and said goodbye to her mom.

Returning to reality,
she finds her voice.
Through the tears she whispers,
‘I had no choice.’

She no longer had
to aimlessly roam;
she no longer lived,
in a broken home.

She promises to never,
treat her kids like dirt.
She promises to teach them,
that love don’t hurt.
