Purpose Driven Life By Rick Warren

What in the world am I here to do? That is the questions we all ask, from the time we learn to walk, speak, and think to the time we are dying. Many time it goes unanswered, or if it is somehow answered, it still can be unclear. We often ask as humans the selfish questions over our existence. Who is meant for our soul? What will be our life-time occupation? The question we ought to asking should pertain to the Almighty and his plan for us.

We need to keep in mind that God has always had us in mind, before He crossed our minds. There IS a reason and plan for why we are here, although many things crowd God’s place, for example: careers/ambitions, hobbies, and even our spouses. God wishes for us to choose Him over all..

I know my role on earth and for eternity thanks to Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren.

The Purpose Driven Life is a 40-day spiritual journey that will answer that important question:”Why am I here”. I guarantee that you will learn more about who you are and what you should be striving for. Of course it may take more than 40 days to completley get the guidance that you want , but this book will remind you that God is by your side, is FOR you, and is the master at work with all plans.

You may not have ever been sure if you had a plan for your life. It is no accident that we live, breathe…exist. There is a plan behind it all and the hand that guides it is the hand of God. There is a loyalty due to our Creator.

It takes focus to achieve what you are here to do. God cares about how we are as people, not who we are as people. That is what I took from the book. I encourage you to read through this and find out more for yourself.

Crossway Study Bible

Are you ready to study the Bible now?? This ESV Study Bible is ready for you too.

The first initial thing that caught my eye with this new Bible was the look of it. Orange, White, wow is this a Bible?? Crossway really took it to another level and blew my mind.

The ESV Study Bible was created to help people understand the Bible in a deeper way–to understand the timeless truth of God’s Word as a powerful, compelling, life-changing reality. To accomplish this, the ESV Study Bible combines the best and most recent evangelical Christian scholarship with the highly regarded ESV Bible text.

It goes without saying that the base of the ESV Study Bible is the English Standard Version. This is considered by many biblical scholars to be a superior translation of the Bible and it is fast becoming the de facto translation amongst conservative and Reformed Christians. For the purposes of this review I will not defend or put down the ESV as a translation. However, it doesm bear to mention that, while I am not as dogmatic as some when it comes to Bible translations, I do feel that the ESV is the best translation available today. As I understand the issues, it represents the best combination of readability and faithful translation. It’s a joy to read and memorize scripture as simple as this translation. While there are several other excellent English translations available, the ESV is top of the class.

This is a study Bible that is like nothing I have come across before. Crossway came out with this new study Bible that is so modern and it really surprised me. I really enjoy the new features in this Bible that helps me dig deeper into the truths of the Bible.

Created by an outstanding team of 95 evangelical Christian scholars and teachers, the ESV Study Bible presents completely new study notes, maps, illustrations, charts, timelines, articles, and introductions. Even though the ESV Study Bible comprises 2 million words of Bible text, insightful explanation, teaching, and reference material—equivalent to a 20-volume Bible resource library all contained in one volume.

If you’re looking for new, fresh, easy Bible that will help you study deeper into God’s word- This is the Bible.

So go study – Pick up the new ESV Study Bible

Francis Chans Basic. Fear God

Basic. Fear God- a simple message coming from renown author and speaker Francis Chan.

Basis- is a new seven-part fil series by the same makers of NOOMA featuring Francis Chan he used a simple, full, and beautiful journey that our lives should infact look like.

Going back to well- the basics of fearing God -this series also includes the basics of the questions like ” Who is God ” In this series the basic foundation of faith is addressed questions about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. We’re all looking for a solid foundation -something we can build our lives on. This series puts it simply about how we need to live out our lives like the church should. This is such a helpful tool in my life. This is a strong DVD based around the essential truth of scripture: ” The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom “.”

To understand the relationship between God and man, we turn to those who have directly interacted with Him in the Bible. In all the cases, they’re met with fear. Not even respect, reverence or courage, but sheer speechlessness, humility and complete surrender. They are overcome with pure fear and many of them cry out to be destroyed.

Most people today have lost this fear. We need to understand that a true fear of God leads to the keeping of His commandments, leads to life abundant, and is the beginning of wisdom.

Within this deeply impacting teaching series one will discover:

– What does Scripture indicate when it commands people to fear God?
– What is the difference between fear of the Lord and mere respect or reverence?
– What does proper biblical application of the fear of God lead to in your life?

This is a well done project that has helped me amazingly.

I suggest this DVD to youth groups, small groups, couples, and even for family devotions.

Pick up yet another amazing inspiration by Francis Chan, It’s Basic

My Utmost For His Highest By Oswald Chambers

My Utmost For His Highest is not a big book, yet it’s life changing. Tiny but mighty one could say.

Oswald Chambers passion for people to be devoted to God is clear, and to be devoted in our daily lives. This book really helped me with my consistency of getting into God’s word in my everyday life.

I find there is no better way to start the day than with the wisdom in this magnificent devotional; these profound thoughts were given by Oswald Chambers while at the Bible Training College in England, during the years of 1911 through 1914, and after his death in 1917 (while serving in Egypt during World War I) were edited by his wife, and later updated into modern English by James Reimann, who says in his introduction that the book is the “culmination of approximately 1800 hours of research and editing”, and the end result are words that flow and feed and sometimes pierce the soul with remarkable accuracy, to remind one of the way Jesus intended us to live life. This book in conjuction with the Bible are great guideposts for a meaningful life.

This book is great for family devotions, individuals, and really anyone- it’s a great tool to get our focus on what matters in our crazy lives.

Not a “God loves you and all is well” type of book, there are many passages of tough love, that keep one on the right track, and I often have the experience of it answering a question that is on my mind. Each day under the header, is a relevant Bible quote, and underneath Chambers’ teaching on the subject, in the 250 word range in length. There are many various editions to chose from, and mine is a small leather-bound volume using the NKJV for its Bible quotes, with a foreword by Charles Stanley, who as Reimann’s pastor, was the one who recommended the original Chambers work to him.

This book fits anywhere from your kitchen table, to your coffee table ( where it is at my house ) , to on trips and travels with you.

I recommend this book to anyone who wants to be devoted to God in their daily lives.

Take the challenge and pick up this book My Utmost For His Highest

If you want your Utmost to be for His Highest

Get Out Of That Pit Book

There is always a duration of our lives that we spend in the pit. The put is dark, and deep, and filled with hopelessness. Because we stay in the pit for such a long time, there are times that we fail to see the light.~{Sometimes it seems we’ve been in there so long we cant see the light any longer}~{Sometimes its like we’ve been there so long that we can’t see the light anymore}~{Sometimes it’s like you’ve been there so long you don’t know what light looks like anymore}~{Sometimes all you see is dark}~{{Sometimes all you see is darkness}~{{{Sometimes all you can see is darkness}~Sometimes in seasons of your life it’s a just a dark pit}~{Sometimes all you can see is darkness in life}~{Sometimes all you can see is darkness}~Sometimes in seasons of your life it’s a just a dark pit}~{{Sometimes all you can see is darkness in life}~{Sometimes all you can see is darkness}~Sometimes in seasons of your life it’s a just a dark pit}~{Sometimes all you can see is that darkness}~{{Sometimes all you can see is darkness}~Sometimes in seasons of your life it’s a just a dark pit}~{Sometimes all you can see is darkness in life}~{Sometimes all you can see is darkness}~Sometimes in seasons of your life it’s a just a dark pit}~{Sometimes all you see is darkness}~{{{Sometimes all you can see is darkness}~Sometimes in seasons of your life it’s a just a dark pit}~{Sometimes all you can see is darkness in life}~{Sometimes all you can see is darkness}~Sometimes in seasons of your life it’s a just a dark pit}~{{Sometimes all you can see is darkness in life}~{Sometimes all you can see is darkness}~Sometimes in seasons of your life it’s a just a dark pit}~{Sometimes all you can see is that darkness}~{{Sometimes all you can see is darkness}~Sometimes in seasons of your life it’s a just a dark pit}~{Sometimes all you can see is darkness in life}~{Sometimes all you can see is darkness}~Sometimes in seasons of your life it’s a just a dark pit}.

As part of our lives, we must be ready to experience periods of ups and downs.~{it’s common sense that our lives are filled with ups, downs and deep plummets}~{It’s known that our lives are filled with ups and downs}~{Its a fact that our lives are filled with ups and downs}~{Our lives are filled with ups and downs thats a fact}~{Our lives are filled with ups, downs, and plummets}~{Our lives are like a rollercoaster}~{Our lives are like rollercoasters}~{Our lives are full of rollercoaster ups and downs}~Our lives are full of ups and downs}. It should be common sense of how to get out of the darkness.
Get Out Of That Pit by Beth Moore is the guide to use when getting out of your pit and any future pit you may descend into. She lets us know that if God could get her out of the pit, then he could easily do the same for us if we were willing..

Some aren’t just vistors of those dark places, but actually dwell there. Moore gives us lessons of hope. She does not cut corners, but she always tells us in a caring way that deliverance is attainable..

We can be thrown into a bit unexpectedly. Things have a way of just happening that we often have no control over.. Disease, crime, and rejection can just sneak up on us and push us into a deep pit of hopelessness and depression.

There are times when we could have stopped from sinking into the pit but we end up slipping anyway as a result of the way we live our lives.. There are pits in which we dive into head first. Some pits you enter deliberately not caring about how deep and dark that pit may be.

Beth more has been in those pits and has found a way out and is sharing her own experience to help other.
I enjoyed the study guide in the back of the book. It’s perhaps the most important part with the prayers.
Even if you do not read this book never forget God is the rope we need to get out of the pit. Although we may experience different dark times and slip once in a while, He is always the answer and the way.

However, if you would like inspiration from someone who has overcome these challenges, I encourage you to read Get Out of That Pit Beth Moore. This is a very inspirational and life changing book that will help you get out of that horrible pit and onto the road to recovery.
