Need a good devotional?? I suggest this!

Now this is an excellent devotional. Sarah Young tells us in the introduction that she wrote it with a focus upon God’s astonishing love for His children.On most of the topics God’s love radiates from the pages.

Jesus Lives is a gift style devotional book. The 180 devotions can make for a half year of study. The main part, through stunning first person narrative, is finding and recognizing the powerful, all-inclusive, never-changing love of Jesus. The author captures, as no other devotion I’ve read lately, a heartfelt tone. You truly believe that these words passed directly to her from the Holy Spirit.

Some people will really enjoy this style of writing that she has. It makes you feel as if you’re being spoken directly to, which can make you think a lot about these topics. And having the inspirational verses right there are quite helpful. In fact, I noticed that the pieces of verses that are quoted in the devotional are in italics – which makes it easy to cross-reference what she’s referring to.I enjoy the broad range of topics addressed in this text. I really enjoyed the commentaries on each devotion. Sarah writes as if God is talking to us personally. And having the inspiring verses right by there are quite helpful. The recommended way is to read a theme and then meditate upon how to apply the truth to your life. The writing is great enough, however, that I started reading it straight through. This is a devotional I couldn’t put down. It’s a great book to keep on your coffee table and to really get your consistency in your devotional life back on track.

Jesus Lives is an excellent book for Christians who are wanting a straight-forward and deeper devotional!

If a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle… you get the point. is looking for a readable and understandable biblical text, this is it. The pictures are so cute. The stories are understandable for the preschool and older age group. I bought one for each child in our preschool and the parents were thrilled. A nice complement to a child’s “library” and an amazing starting point to spin off to moral and biblical questions.

The colors of this book and the way they have really thought about their young readers really is impressive. If you’re looking for a tool to show truth to your young kids or a gift to a young child this would be it. The illustrations draw you in, and yes, I’m above age 5, but It still had be entertained.

Overall, “The Beginners’ Bible” is the perfect attempt yet to bring Jesus’ love to His most youngest, most treasured ones, and is a book to read or be read to. HIGHLY recommended for families with young children.Full of faith , truth, and fun!

John and Stasi Eldredge are both very much into adventure, heroism, and romance.. This is a book that peers into the soul of a woman and how God has made them.

Eldredge is the founder and the director of Ransomed Heart Ministries in Colorado, and is the author of five other books including, Wild at Heart. His wife Stasi is also very involved in the Ransomed Heart Ministries and even co-wrote this Captivating book with her husband.

And every little girls keeps in her heart her most precious of dreams. What were some things that romanced your heart as a girl??The authors ask the readers. Was it daisy’s in a field?? Was it the smell after summer rain?? Was it a favorite book like The Secret Garden? Hitting on subjects like how many women especially christian women are tired, overwhelmed, struggling under the weight of the pressure of being a ” good servant ” , a, nurturing  caregiver, a capable home manager, getting lost into the expectations of the pressures on them as women, but instead this book is a great tool in taking a stand in how God formed women to be and recapturing that picture in their own lives. This book is a great reminder to combat demands and duties to not take away joy,heart, and love of life. I suggest this book to any of you who are tired woman and to you who know of a tired woman in your life that needs to recapture her captivating heart.

Reading through this book gave me great perspective in all the good things God has put into me as a woman, sometimes the world can tell you it’s silly or bad, but through reading this book I felt like something was revived in me. I love this husband and wife team writing combo in this book and suggest it as a very helpful tool for any women. This is a quick read because you won’t want to put it down with it’s restoring words.
